Wrinkles: frown lines, crow's feet & forehead
Soften frown lines, crow's feet and forehead lines with a subtle treatment, so you look rested while keeping your natural expressions.
Chin dimpling treatment with a low dose of muscle relaxant makes the chin smoother and calmer, because the muscle that causes dimpling and an ‘orange peel’ chin contracts less strongly. At Zalat Clinics in Rotterdam, BIG-registered doctor Dr. Pravesh Gadjradj performs this chin treatment personally, after a free consultation in which you hear the price in advance.
The chin muscle (mentalis) is a small muscle in the centre of the chin. It lifts the skin of the chin and pushes the lower lip up, for example when you look doubtful, pout or close your mouth firmly. In some people this muscle is very active. The skin of the chin then contracts into small dimples and bumps, known as an ‘orange peel’ chin, pebble chin or chin dimpling.
An orange-peel chin is usually caused by a combination of a strong chin muscle and thin skin with little fat underneath. Over the years the chin loses volume and the dimpling becomes more visible. A slightly receding chin, or teeth that prevent the lips from closing naturally, can also make the chin muscle work extra hard when talking and swallowing.
The doctor gives one or two small injections low in the chin, at a sufficient distance from the lower lip. The chin muscle then contracts less forcefully. In most people the skin of the chin becomes smoother, the dimpling largely disappears and the chin contour looks calmer. Talking, eating and closing your mouth work just as you are used to.
A muscle relaxant acts on the movement of the chin muscle but does not change the shape of the chin. If you want more projection for a receding chin or a softer jawline, a chin or jawline filler with hyaluronic acid is more suitable, from €250 per ml. With a marked orange-peel chin and little volume, a combination often works best: the filler provides support and the muscle relaxant brings calm. The doctor honestly discusses which approach suits your chin.
The doctor looks at your chin at rest and while talking, discusses your health and gives you a fixed price in advance.
After cleansing the skin, one or two tiny injections are given. The treatment takes about 10 minutes.
After 3–7 days the chin becomes calmer; after about two weeks the result is complete.
The doctor assesses the result and discusses whether a small top-up would be useful.
Side effects are usually mild, such as a small bump or bruise. Rarely, the lower lip feels slightly weaker for a while or the smile is a little uneven; this fades as the effect wears off. If you have questions you can reach the doctor via WhatsApp.
Chin muscle treatment costs from €75; depending on the amount needed, the price is between €75 and €90. The final price is agreed during the consultation. The consultation and the two-week check-up are free.

A muscle relaxant in the chin muscle (mentalis) makes it contract less forcefully, so dimpling and an orange-peel chin usually become smoother. Talking, eating and closing your mouth are unaffected. The full effect is visible after about two weeks.
On average about 3 months. After that, movement of the muscle gradually returns and you can repeat the treatment.
Yes. Only the chin muscle becomes less active; the muscles you need for talking, eating and drinking keep working normally. The doctor doses low so the lower lip is not affected.
No, it does not change the shape of the chin. For more projection, chin filler is more suitable. A muscle relaxant can, however, calm a tense, restless chin, also in combination with filler.

Soften horizontal forehead lines with a low, evenly spread dose of muscle relaxant, so your eyebrows stay light and expressive.
A low dose of muscle relaxant above the upper lip lets the lip roll out slightly, showing more of the red part without adding volume.
