A filler is a gel of hyaluronic acid, a sugar that occurs naturally in the skin and binds water. Injected at the right depth, it adds volume, softens a fold or supports a contour. Results are visible straight away and usually last 6 to 18 months, depending on the area and the product.
Because hyaluronic acid can be broken down, a filler can be dissolved if needed. That makes it a safe choice for anyone considering a first treatment.
